Dear Parents/Guardians/Friends; 

February is the month that focuses on relationships.  With the recent events surrounding the Rihanna/Chris Brown assault investigation, it is necessary for us to teach our Daughters how to protect themselves against such potentially violent situations.   Lieutenant Roderick Ennis of the Zachary Police Department will be our featured guest THIS SATURDAY, the 14^th.  We are looking forward to this timely presentation. 

April is Leap testing time again.  Please be advised that March 14^th will focus on Academic Excellence.  LEAP test preparation in English for 4^th and 8^th graders will be emphasized by Mrs. Shirley Hammond (4^th grade) and Mrs. Helen Cannon (8^th grade).   Dr. Saundra Yancy McGuire will present on deleting “Test Taking Anxiety”, Study Strategies, and increasing overall academic performance. On March 21 we will journey to New Orleans to visit the Zoo and the Aquarium.  This field trip is provided for all Daughters who have paid their dues!   

Character Development is the featured emphasis for the month of April.  Ms. Jean Stepter will lead us in a series of devotions.  The theme is Relaxing in God, Reading God’s Word and Releasing God’s Promise.  Each Daughter is asked to bring a small pillow for the relaxation segment.    

 *Please wear your DONI t-shirts to EVERY meeting  with black pants or skirts.  NO Jeans!!!!!!
